The sun beamed down on the Saturday Workshop. Daffs and Daisies brightened the banks outside the Village Hall and on our ramble, we tasted newly unfurled, sun kissed Hawthorn leaves. There were too few to gather for a tincture just yet but in a week or two there will be plenty to gather for both salads and tinctures.
We made herbal teas by the bucketful and enjoyed most of them! Laura supplied some Neem leaves and after tasting some (Lisa was brave and drank all hers) we decided the best place for them...... was in something to apply! We set about making a body oil with Chamomile and Neem. A great success! I think the Healing Salve was one of the best. The herbal bath sachets will help to soothe and relax. The dried Valerian root was sniffed, admired then deftly chopped and popped into a jar to make a tincture!
A special thank you to the 'porter' in the form of Andrew, who ferried the required bits and bobs to the hall!...........Oh, and back again!!
