Well, yesterday as I took Bucket and Daisy out for their walk, I saw a very large bee buzzing noisily and feeding on the Mahonia outside the door. It had been cold and foggy over the past few days and the sight gladdened my heart. I do hope he finds somewhere cozy to spend Christmas! The bulbs are starting to show their shoots and there are still loads of herbs available to use if needed. Plantain, Yarrow, Nettles in sheltered spots, and talking of spots, there was a ladybird on one clump! The birdsong has been wonderful too. I don't ever remember them being so tuneful at this time of year before. Long Tailed Tits feeding on the Hawthorn berries, Sparrows, Robins and Wrens. Frost covered hedgerows. Fantastic!
Looking ahead, I will be running 1 day workshops in January and February. If you are interested in coming along, do please contact me. I wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.
